We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. Here is what that means on this site:
- Every chart has a written “What this means” summary, and many have a “Show the numbers as a table” option.
- Chart colours were checked with a colour-vision simulator so people with colour blindness can tell them apart, and legends never rely on colour alone.
- The games, maps and tools can be used with a keyboard.
- Animations switch off if your device is set to reduce motion.
- The site follows your device’s light or dark mode.
- Pages use proper headings and landmarks for screen readers.
